Laura StewartLaura Stewart, MA, OTR/L, CHT
Occupational Therapist

For over 20 years, Laura has been practicing as an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist. Since receiving her Master of Arts and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees, she has worked extensively in hand rehabilitation. In 1991, she successfully passed the first national board examination and was among the charter group of practitioners to be designated as a Certified Hand Therapist. She is a graduate of the Arthritis Foundation Health Professional Fellowship Program and past president of the Southern California Hand Special Interest Group (three consecutive terms). In addition to her extensive training and clinical experience, Laura has served as an ergonomic education consultant and has conducted training for PacifiCare, Lucky Grocery Stores, Unihealth Corporation, the Los Angeles Repetitive Strain Injury Support Group, and the Riverside Eastern Municipal Water District. She has also taught prevention of carpal tunnel syndrome at Glendale Community College. In 2005, Laura was honored by the California State Legislature and received the “Women in Business Award” for her accomplishments in business and her service to the community.

Laura played competitive basketball while growing up in Shanghai, and is now an enthusiastic tennis player. She loves classical music and opera, and has served on a local theater board. Laura is married to Dr. Roger D. Stewart, a Senior Associate Dean at USC College, and has two beautiful children.

 

Michael AhdoutMichael Ahdout, DPT
Physical Therapist

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University, Northridge. Michael grew interested in biomechanics and physical therapy working as a massage therapist in a physical therapy office. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Michael believes that one should live life with a smile. He is interested in martial arts, especially Capoeira.

 

Jesus AlmanzaJesus Almanza, DPT
Physical Therapist

Jesus received his Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from California State University, Northridge and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Sports Physical Therapy Section. His volunteer experience includes coaching little league baseball. He has previously worked as a personal trainer, and in the future plans to become a Certified Orthopedic Specialist. Jesus' goal is to serve as a model of physical therapy service to the community. He enjoys watching and playing sports, going to the gym, martial arts and traveling.

 

Ruby Cho

Ruby earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California at San Diego and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. Ruby wants to make the therapy experience as positive and enjoyable for her patients as she can because she believes that a good therapy experience leads to the best results. Ruby is always learning and developing new skills, and eventually wants to become a Certified Hand Therapist. She enjoys hiking, crossword puzzles, movies and hanging out with friends.

 

Eric Choi, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Bio Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University. Eric entered the Physical Therapy field after developing an interest in helping patients get back their function and return to daily life activities. He believes that his patients' contribution to the rehabilitation process is just as important as the therapists and encourages patient to get involved in their therapy. Eric enjoys traveling, golf, cooking, softball, volleyball, swimming, spending time with his family.

 

Lilly Chorolec, DPT
Physical Therapist

Lilly earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary's College in Los Angeles. Before joining the Physical Therapy field Lilly worked as a voice over agent in the Minneapolis and Los Angeles areas. However she always had a desire to be a therapist, and so in her spare time worked as a fitness director and instructor. Lilly believes that you're never too mature to go after your dreams: keep your body and your life moving! She enjoys spinning, road biking, cooking, spending time with family, and is an avid yogi.

 

CindyCindy Chu Phillips, PT, OCS
Physical Therapist

Cindy Chu Phillips received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Midwestern University. She holds a National Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association. She has completed intensive, specialized training programs in manual orthopedic physical therapy and Women's health. She is the pioneer of the Women's Health program for Wellspring Therapy Inc., which specifically addresses women's issues dealing with pregnancy, urinary incontinence, and pelvic pain. Cindy's clinical skills enable her to provide the highest quality of care utilizing the most modern innovative techniques to rehabilitate her patients effectively. Cindy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the APTA Section on Women's Health. In her free time, Cindy enjoys working out at the gym, watching sporting events, and spending time outdoors hiking in the local mountains or going to the beach.

 

Larry Dubuque, MPT
Physical Therapist

Larry earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Sacramento State University and his Master of Physical Therapy from California State University at Northridge. Larry entered the Physical Therapy field because he likes helping others and has an interest in sports and movement of the human body. He is planning to pursue certification as an orthopedic clinical specialist. Larry has served in the Air Force, and is currently with the reserves. He enjoys hockey, learning guitar and working out.

 

MarilenMarilen M. Grimm, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Marilen received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She holds an Advanced Practice in hand therapy and physical agent modalities. She has had extensive training in treating job-related injuries and orthopedic hand injuries. She is a member of the Hand Therapy Society of Greater Los Angeles and the American Occupational Therapy Association. She was the first employee of Wellspring Therapy, since 1995. In addition to providing patient care, Marilen collaborates with administrative support in promoting our practice. Outside the office, she devotes her time with her husband and two boys playing baseball, dining out, going to the beach and venturing museums.

 

Sharon HoSharon Ho, DPT
Physical Therapist

Sharon obtained her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. She is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Sharon first became interested in Physical Therapy during High School when she attended therapy herself. Therapy helped her ignite her passion for helping people. She gets most satisfaction when patients return to normal life. She enjoys hiking, swimming, scary movies and spending time with friends.

Occupational Therapist

Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and her Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the Occupational Therapy Association of California. In addition to working with hand patients, Amy is a pediatric therapist. She loves to work with the kids; to her child's play is therapy. She helps kids reach milestones and function in school & home; a kid's smile makes her day. She enjoys jigsaw puzzles, swimming, going to the beach, being outdoors and spending time with friends.

Heather earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Southern California, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University. She has been accepted in a prestigious residency program, which will further increase her skills in manual therapy. Heather finds Physical Therapy combines her love of helping people with her interest in sports. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. In her free time she enjoys hiking, jogging, football, baseball and listening to music.

Physical Therapy

Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science and her Master's in Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge. She became a physical therapist because it combines her interest in human anatomy and her love for helping people. To Stacey, seeing patients heal not only physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. It is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world. In her free time, Stacey enjoys Pilates, hiking, yoga, cooking and kayaking.

Allison received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science for the University of Kansas and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her goal is to make a positive difference in people's lives and promote healthy lifestyle with an improved quality of life. She wants to become a Certified Orthopedic Specialist in the future. Allison enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, soccer and kickball.

Heather earned her Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. She became motivated to pursue a career in the field while volunteering in a hospital's physical therapy department and experiencing the positive impact of therapists in the realm of healthcare. She finds improving patients' health and well-being by teaching them to understand their bodies and the importance of implementing physical activity into their lifestyles very rewarding. Additionally, Heather plans to become an Orthopedic Certified Specialist to further enrich her professional development. In her spare time, she finds delight in going to movies, training/walking her dog, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

 

Isaac NefIsaac Nef
Acupuncturist

Growing up in an interracial home with a Chinese mother, Isaac was exposed to Asian culture at an early age. He was particularly fascinated by Chinese medicine. He traveled extensively in Asia and lived in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. Isaac earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Science from Brigham Young University-Hawaii. He then completed a Master's of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from SAMRA, the oldest and one of the best of Oriental Medicine schools in the United States, where he graduated as class president. To further his knowledge and skills in acupuncture, he traveled to Beijing, China and completed additional training and an internship under a team of Chinese medical doctors from the prestigious Beijing Hospital. Isaac is happiest when he is able to help his clients using his rare and precious combined knowledge in exercise science and Chinese medicine.
